This very cool mermaid lamp (circa 1900), has a good size pin tray that has swirls of water cast into it. She has 2 legs, each with fins on the bottom portions, and is basking in the glow of a millefiori ball shade. These old Czechoslovakian shades are hard to find these days and they light up wonderfully! The shade fits over a spring loaded piece of brass that holds the shade on securely. The lamp is made of spelter. There`s a stamp on the bottom that says Collection Francaise Made in USA. It has a porcelain socket that turns on by the lamps in-line switch. A very unusual and delightful lamp! It stands about 7 1/2" tall, it`s 10" wide and 7" deep and the shade is about 5" wide & tall. Thanks for looking!!
