This 5 ¾ inch tall doll, circa the 1840s, was manufactured in Germany. She has a fabulous hairstyle with softly waved sides and a coiled bun in the back. I believe she was probably manufactured by Kister but I am not positive. The doll has a cloth body with unbelievable intricately modeled china hands. Both the shoulder head and the hands are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The clothing appears to be original to the doll including lace trimmed cotton underclothing and a cream color silk dress. As my pictures show, the dress has much melting and deterioration but how wonderful that the lovely little lady still has it. I would never remove this dress as it is quite delicate and part of the historical integrity of the doll. Truly she is fabulous just as she is.
