Christie's autumn's Russian Art Week in London will witness an auction of rare Russian vases by the Imperial Porcelain Factory. The estimated price of the sale is $3.48 Million for these finest pair of Russian Porcelain vases. Imperial Porcelain Factory has been presenting its vases since many years and holds a record of selling a pair of most expensive vase in the year 2006. This pair of vase has a history as it was presented by Emperor Nicholas I to Karl Ludwig Graf von Ficquelmont (1777-1857). Karl Ludwig Graf von Ficquelmont served as an Austrian Ambassador Extraordinaire to the Russian court and was one of the closest advisors to the Russian court. It is said that under the rule of Emperor Nicholas I Russia gained its name as an artistic place and Imperial Porcelain Factory grown immensely at that time.
