Lovely Antique French or Viennese Enamel Miniature Dressing Screen, a Desk or Boudoir Clock with 3 Figural Enamel Panels :-

Delightful & rare antique French or Vienna enamel 5 1/8" wide miniature desk or boudoir clock in the form of a dressing screen, three figural enamel panels framed in gilt Dore bronze with enamel clock dial & wonderful decorative appeal! Simply gorgeous and in superb condition, if only the tiny clock was working... Three hand painted enamel panels with a romantic theme, the right showing a man holding a bouquet of flowers, winged cupid, angel or putti floating in the clouds above. The left side with a woman holding a vanity fan, also cherub or putti in the clouds. The center depicting a man and woman, the woman seated while the man holds what may be a basket, picnic maybe? All framed in thick, heavy bronze with Dore gilded finish and as ornate as can be with a Rococo style. Note the two winged figures at the top sides of the center section frame, lovely! The back clock movement cover is simply marked "Metal Dore", no makes on the movement or elsewhere. A wonderful little piece, rare dressing screen form!

Very good condition. Some slight wear to the gilt finish is visible on the front of the framework but no bents, breaks or damage there. No chips, cracks or damage that I can see on any of the three enamel panels. The clock is currently not running and is missing the glass front but no chips or damage to the enamel dial. From the back, it appears that the clock housing may have been remounted or reset. All of the clock movement appears to be intact, some tarnish is visible but, as noted above, it is not currently running. Key included. See pictures for measurements.
