President George W. Bush signed legislation sponsor appreciation letter on White House Stationary, along with the commemorative ballpoint pen with the Presidential Seal. The signature is uniquely different from auto pen examples and presumed authentic. The letter was to Congressman Bill Young, who proposed the legislation. The letter concerned the President's having designated the week of July 28, 1991, as National Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Week. To me it seems that there was a typographical mistake that was not caught. Since the letter refers to the President having signed the resolution on August 6th, 1991, seems to me that the week was meant to be the following year... not the month before. A mistake in a Presidential letter should enhance the value, should it not? For me, just the idea of having a signed letter from the President of The United States is exciting enough. Congressman Young kept is through the years.

Charles William "Bill" Young (December 16, 1930 – October 18, 2013) was an American politician who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1971 to 2013. A Republican from Florida, Young served as chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations from 1999 to 2005. He was the longest-serving Republican member of Congress at the time of his death.
